AMD Zen 4D and Zen 5 rumours emerge

zen4dZen 4D is a stripped-down version of Zen 4 with up to 16 cores per chiplet, aimed at increasing core density and multi-threaded performance. It will compete with Intel's hybrid approach on Alder Lake CPUs, but with lowerAMD saves many years of development time, and a considerable amount of money... and what comes from that is Zen4D and the first processor: the 128-core EPYC
